ChatBriefly Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ChatBriefly ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

2. User Responsibilities

• User ID: Auto-generated anonymous generic IDs (e.g., "MountainPenguin123") are assigned to users. You may not customize IDs.
• Content: You are solely responsible for messages and translations. Do not share illegal, harmful, or sensitive content.
• Conduct: Use the Service lawfully and respectfully.

3. Translation Feature

Translations occur client-side and are end-to-end (E2E) encrypted. ChatBriefly does not store, access, or process translations on its servers.

4. Data & Privacy

• No Data Storage/Collection: We do not collect, store, or transfer user data. All chats are E2E encrypted.
• Deletion: Chat links and content are permanently deleted within 48 hours unless manually extended by users.
• Anonymity: No personal data is requested or retained. User IDs are random and generic but not linked to real identities.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend access for violations of these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee accuracy, security, or uninterrupted access.
• No Recovery: Due to E2E encryption, lost or deleted chats cannot be restored.

7. Limitation of Liability

ChatBriefly is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

Updates will be posted here. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

Governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland.
